_________*****__________ The electronic music is the sound of this time and it will leave a mark of today’s spirit in the future, but it is consumed by a clubbers’ ghetto. However, its potential overcomes the age barriers. It is a culture among brackets that is anxious for being renowned. This is Geisan Varne’s project, trying to create a link between electronic music and Forro, Bossa Nova and all the Brazilian rhythms. The "Musica Vadia" CD is an enfranchisement letter of this type of sound. Beautiful and bizarre is, as the name says, an anagram of MPB. At a first sight, it is just another electronic music project, with Acoustic Jazz, Trip Hop. But all you need is listening to it for once to be sure: it is a Modern Brazilian Popular Music, the best that it’s happening nowadays in the genre. This is the birth of a music that combines Brazilian regional rhythms with electronic elements, Jazz and Bossa Nova. Winner as best songwriter of the Caymmi Prize in 1991 and of the Irdeb/Educadora Festival in Salvador/ Bahia in 2007, it isn’t a coincidence that he is considered a studio genius.
