Fred Andrade, from Pernambuco , Brazil,
is a professional musician since he was 17. His first contact with music happened at the age of 8, playing the guitar. By the age of 15, he started having classes with Edson Melo. In 1992 started his classical guitar course at the UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE PERNAMBUCO, At the moment he is getting prepared for his Master at
UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DA PARAIBA.He has composed and played for many soundtracks and has composed jingles as well, for many companies such as FIAT, PARMALAT, RENAULT among other national companies. He also played for the prized short “O velho o mar e o lagoâ€,( The old man the sea and the lake ) a movie by Camilo Cavalcanti, and played also in the National cinema Festival soundtrack.
He has played in many important Festivals in Brazil such as, Canta Nordeste (Sing Northeast!) Cascavel Jazz Festival, Fortaleza Music fair, Instrumental in concert and Instrumental Music Festival of Terezina. He has played for many famous Brazilians singers and musicians such as Elba Ramalho, Heraldo do Monte, Naná Vasconcelos, Dominguinhos and Lenine.
He released in 2000 his first solo CD, Ilusões a Granel. Soon after that he made a project this time with the drummer Ebel Perrelli, called Mandinga. Fred has also a CD with the Northeastern rhythm, Frevo de Rua (Street frevo), called “Guitarra de Rua†(Street Guitar). He is also concluding a guitar method for this gender.
With the Symphonic Orchestra of João Pessoa, one of the most important orchestras in Brazil, he performed in the Opera “O sonho de Catirina†or Catirina’s dream with the regency of Maestro Duda. This opera was on for three months in Sâo LuÃs do Maranhão.
Fred Andrade has also made WORKSHOW in IGT, São Paulo, in the first second and fourth Guitar Player Festival.
He is endorser of the makes CONDOR, LAND SCAP, and SÂO GONSALO. He has published many articles in the Guitar player magazine, Cover guitar, and Modern Drummer.
He was the director or the first Guitar player Festival in Recife.

In the first semester of 2006 he released a CD called FARRA DE ANJO, and recently he has released a CD with a instrumental band called “Noise Violaâ€.
He has touch music at CONSERVATÓRIO PERNAMBUCANO DE MÚSICA for 13 years and has given workshops in many different states of Brazil.
