Sounds Like:

"A Jazz Fusion Technician" with a very relaxed feel. Khalil plays with a mature dynamic approach, usually alloying for a crescendo in the single and double stroke rolls. His ride cymbal patterns have been compared to those of Jack Dejohnette (one of Khalil’s biggest influences), with a constant underlining flurry of ghost notes on the snare at most times. His independence is quite remarkable also. Khalil tends to use allot of paradiddle sticking’s in the hands that are contradictory to what’s being playing in the feet.

Although Khalil is most comfortable playing many forms of jazz. He is extremely disciplined when playing on a pop, rock, r&b or hip hop gig (see: "Hip Hop" & "RnB Ballad").
