CHRIS SECUNDO was born 1972 in Vorarlberg / AUSTRIA. He started collecting records with 10 years – inspired by his father who also was a DJ from 1978 till 1992 (his father played funk, reggae, rock, blues & rock `n` roll - bands like Santana, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, James Brown, Chuck Berry, Bob Marley, Sly and the Family Stone...With 14 years Chris Secundo got in touch with the Psycho- and Rockabilly scene and music. The next 8 years Chris Secundo spent many weekends at Psycho- and Rockabilly concerts and festivals around Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Great Britain, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, etc. ) but also the nightlife / clubscene in each city. The favourite Bands at this time for Chris Secundo were The Krewmen, The Meteors, Frenzy, Restless, Guana Batz, Batmobile and The Long Tall Texans. At the same time he also was very inspired by the House, Techno and Trance scene in Zuerich (CH) and Munich (D). ____________________________________________________________
_______ 1992 Chris Secundo moved for 5 years to Vienna to get new impressions of the music and clubscene away from Zuerich and Munich. When he arrived he bought 2 turntabels and a mixer and startet to learn mixing. He called himself - - - Dj KAIHORO - - -. More and more he got impressed and inspired by Vienna Djs like Dan Lodig, Glow, Slack Hippy, L.X., Makossa, Electric Indigo, Tina 303, Patrick Pulsinger, Erdem Tunakan, Peter Kruder, Christopher Just, and some others. In this period Chris Secundo played mostly Techno, Trance, House, Experimental and Detroit. ____________________________________________________________
_______ After 2 years in Vienna he joined Richard Hämmerle aka Richie Disco from Austria. Chris Secundo and Richie Disco founded the project - DAWN-FORCE - styles: House, Techno, Experimental, Breakbeats and Trip Hop). They produced intensive together for over 3 years and they could even release some tracks on the label - - - XXX-RECORDS vienna - - - (compilation cds and 12 inch vinyl) in co-production with Living F/X (MC Mars / MC Spot), Gerry Burns and Peter Lavelle from Germany. - - - DAWN-FORCE - - - was booked for some live acts in Austria specially with MC Spot. Chris Secundo played his sets in Vienna in clubs like Kunstwerk, 4U afterhour club / resident, Reigen, Sofiensäle, Orgasm, Flex Café, Rainer´s Bar and at many official and private student parties in and around Vienna. Since then he developed his roots in various directions always looking on his mixing skills. More and more funk, soul, jazz and latin music became important for him. ____________________________________________________________
_______ 1997 he went for 3 years to Innsbruck and he could play there in clubs like Jimmy´s Bar, Blue Chip, Couch Club, Volksgarten and some open air, private parties and student parties in Innsbruck and Tyrol. At the same time Chris Secundo also worked for a radio station (MUSIC RADIO FM 95.9) in Vorarlberg each Friday for 3 years (1997 – 2000). He supported the House show of DAVID DEE from New York (USB records). David Dee was also working for the famous radio station KISS FM in London (UK) and is working together with Marshall Jefferson and Ce Ce Rogers from Jestofunk. The radio show took place each friday from 20:00 to 22:00. After the David´s show well known Djs from Austria, Switzerland and Germany played their sets live on air – Djs like Peter Lavelle (D,) Paul Lomex (E), Sito Garcia (E), Cortex Inc. (A), Daniel Delane (A), Mr. Mike (CH), Dj Energy (CH), Dj Team from Frankfurt (D) and many many others. Chris Secundo was responsible for the hole weekend night program (Fr. 22:00 – 06:00 / Sa. 20:00 – 6:00) and he also played many times live after the show of David Dee . He selected the best and newest tunes of electronic music (House, Drum & Bass, Trip Hop, Techno, Nu Jazz, Minimal, Ambient,...) and then he mixed sets for the nights. You could hear the show in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and of course in the web. ____________________________________________________________
______ Besides from 1992 till 2002 he was one of the resident Djs at the Prachtclub CONRAD SOHM in Dornbirn (www.conradsohm.com). The club Conrad Sohm is well known in Europe and was also elected once time for the best club in Austria. There played artists like George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Jungle Funk, Dj DSL, Jimi Tenor, Galliano, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Brian Auger, Fred Wesley and many many others. Chris Secundo played the most time all night long or he was supporting bands, live acts or great Djs from all over the wolrd. ____________________________________________________________
______ In the year 2000 he got married with the lovely cuban musician YENISEY RODRIGUEZ-RODRIGUEZ. She started to learn violoncello with 6 years and she was studying at the university in Matanzas and Havanna in Cuba. She made her graduation 2007 at the university in Austria with success!!! She plays piano, percussion and she is composing and also singing (classic, jazz, latin, cuban, afro, tango). Chris Secundo and Yenisey Rodriguez founded 2006 SI.ROZ PRODUCTIONS which includes music production, visual art, foto art, deejaying and live performances. ____________________________________________________________
______ In the middle 2007 CHRIS SECUNDO created the new project La CREMA and the La CREMAtronic. La CREMA is a kind of club which stands for groovy, funky and hot sound (oldschool and new stuff) - styles you can here at the La CREMA are FUNK, SOUL, LATIN, BRASIL, REGGAE, DANCEHALL, AFRO, DUB, HIP HOP, GYPSY BRASS AND JAZZ. At the La CREMA are playing djs, bands, live acts and solo artists. Depends on the motto of the night. La CREMAtronic is totally different. At the La CREMAtronic club you´ll see on stage just djs and live acts – styles you can here are breakbeats, techno, minimal, electro, drum & bass, jungle and abstract hip hop. - - - - - Since 2005 Chris Secundo is producing his own stuff (funky breaks, latinbeats, drum & bass, techno, hip hop, downbeats, nu jazz). ____________________________________________________________
