I'm born in chile. When i came to Malmo- Sweden , i started inmediatelly with drumms studies at the jazz institute (Ed thigpen-Niklas Hedin-tina Johansson). and started to play with differents groups.. Jazz- Rock -and Latin Music . I'm discovered the power of the afro Cuban music ( the congas and bata drumms) the last it's very dificult instrument and complex rythmes -diffrent toques of the afro cuban tradition) and learn the diffrents rythmes of the samba - batucada, surdo, repinique, ago gos .caixa,pandeiro- The music comes be the medice in my life , and i decide very young to be a drummer . Well i'm not cuban or brazilian i think meny times . meabe it's wrong -I think that before but not now ...now i'm happy if i can play Everybody knows how dificult it's to be a musician--and expencive in time , dedication . so the only plan is just play so much i can . I have played percussion with:PHYSICS (First flight album)/jazz houase with my friends MIKAEL AND TOBE and of course all the members of the band. music-and played everywhere with them -LYDMAR STOCKHOLM-NORDIC LIGTH STOCKHOLM-ÅRHUS FESTIVALEN .MALMÖ FESTIVAL-NEFERTITTI gotemburg-mode mässan copemhagen-Hulsfred Festival- Played live at PUROBEACH whit AFTERLIFE (CAFE DEL MAR) 2005 Played percussiona in The Ark new album (PRAYER FOR A WEEKEND- 2007) I'v Recorded the tambores y percusion for MEJA ( AGUA DE BEBER singell for sony music Japan house version) At the ENERGY GALAN with differents artist at Malmo festival 2004. With BRASILIAN musicisans and a greatt drummer from CUBA Calixto Oviedo one of most incredible drummers i never seen and Julian (afro cuban all stars) Under the years i have jaming or played with SIERRA MAESTRA FROM CUBA .ANATHOLY GRUPO (AFRO JAZZ) JAMING At FREDMANS with JONAS HELLBORG BAS-CHICO LINDWALL .ROLF NILSSON KOMETEN ! FRANK MONTILLA.(CONGAS.) ZOLTAN (DRAMMUS) ELIAS (GUITARR) - Played with Segou Camara (a group called Waraba-the african lyon). I did the percussion for a movie called Piknick at the cementery. Played in Misa Crilolla with Malmö Lyriska Ensamble and Mixtus Cantus -at diffrents churchs and malmo stadsteatern MUSIK TEATERN(there im worked before) in MALMO Magico Sur (MIsa criolla) Grupo Playa (Grupo cumbiero y salsero)-Gilito y su Clave (CUBA) and with Latin Samba (i album -several singles and a lot of gigs everywhewere (Samba Batucada -Bossa ) Grupo Manos: rock latino with Soda Stereo INFLUENCES (ROCK LATINO) Tour with Samba Amor (Coca Cola tour 2004 Sacndinavia) played at Conpehagen rytmiska afton skole (samba skole) Okonkolo (Niklas Hedin) it's was not easy to lear the toques and the oknkolo drum i can still play some toques with two or three drums somentimes with four. as the big guy's . Played with a god friend Jose Carlos segundo Bamboleque (Rio de Janeiro)- William other friend from Rio de Janeiro.with my friend Zesed Ulam (citar , tablas) playing subtil percussion and beatifuls sounds with Jonno Jack playing pop music (New Zeland) "ON Q " and Latitud Latina (Que pasa productions) and many others. Played with Juanito Havanna (Advance Patrol hip Hop -R and B music), Dj Jimi Disko , (Club thank's gud it's friday 198-1999) I played minimalistic techno music for first time with them -it's was a different experience -and house music ..well i love this music and i'm still playing that. it's a completly new discipline , you have to try to understand what i mean , To listening the groves and bases and improvisate to the music, it's look to easy Peoples comes to me AND ask me , can i play ? (Just when i playing ) meabe it's a good way to catch some new congas students ! and other story it's meny peoples thinking the conga it's a sexy instrument ..ayayay i don't have any comments about that ! with DJ A.
