Teresa Pozgaj

Welcome to my space. I am a singer and songwriter from Malmoe, Sweden.
As a little girl, I loved listening to my mothers joyful humming while she was cleaning the house and playing a good record at a loud volume. Mum and dad often played jazz records of Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald amongst others, and I learned to love their soulful singing at a very early age. At the age of 9 I started singing gospel music in different choirs, and Soul / R&B / Gospel has always had a special place in my heart.
The last few years I have fallen more and more in love with the folk music of the Balkans and the Arabic music. I fall in love with music that can move me. It doesn't matter in what language or style - just as long as there is something that touches my heart and soul. A good beat, expressive song, joy, feeling - any one of these or all of them.
I am constantly working on different projects. I collaborate with Neolectrique, Jet Set Inc., MHF ( http://www.malmohousefoundation.com/ ), am a member of the house group Physics , do studio work such as background vocals for Prominent, MLTR, Fatima Rainey and many more.
Besides this I am also trying to find a way to combine all my different influences into my own songs.
