Since the band got together in January of 2005, there have been nonstop gigs and numerous new songs spawned. Lead singer Troy Mercer joined the band in April of 2005 and the band has since played shows in Louisville and the surrounding areas. Soulsideout is not a band that falls into a cookie cutter genre. They have their own sound and mimic no one else. There is a lack of fresh sound in music these days and Soulsideout lends a helping hand in trying to get something new and unique out there. Their shows consist of mostly high-energy originals with a twist on some classic covers.
