I made a couple of solo albums a long time ago in Australia. They were called
"Brave New World" and "Not All Monkeys Are Right Handed". The first was also released
in the US and a few countries overseas. I also wrote
a song about horses called "Dancers"
which was a number one hit for Australian
country artist James Blundell. After moving to America in the mid 90's I took a long break from my career
as a songwriter and spent time with my family. I have continued to write
and be creative but it has taken awhile to get to the stage where I want
to record a solo project again or demo songs for other artists. Christina and
Jenn from The Sugar Dames have helped me get this site going and I am indebted
to them for their love and support.----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------May 31st 2008I have completed some acoustic recordings at Maddie Hill Studios which are
being co-produced and engineered by Christina Elen. I have a few more songs
to finish and record. All the tracks are live vocal/guitar recordings
with a minimal amount of additional tracks if any. Hopefully all will be done by the
end of June.I also have been lucky enough to have a song "Memories Replacing Friends"
included in the documentary "Freezer Geezers" by Whatantics Productions.
They are listed in my Top Friends under the name DENN or can be found on
the web at www.whatantics.com.Christina and I recorded a new version of the song for the documentary.
I have also formed a small group of musicians and writers to pool our abilities
and write music/songs for film and television and am very excited about these
collaborations. Some of these people can be found in my Top Friends. In the meantime I've uploaded
a few songs I wrote and recorded in the 90's and
included a link in a blog to an MTV performance I did in Australia in 1990.
