MAUI GIRL TAKES MANHATTAN

About Me

Elisa Paet was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui. She began performing at the tender age of four and graced the stages of the Hawaiian Islands from her teen years through college. It wasn't long before she packed her bags and set out for New York City. She had hopes of becoming a Broadway Star, but instead she realized that the Great White Way wasn't the only way, and found a different path. She started to write songs and discovered her own voice, which allowed her to express a host of emotions through her music. She was lucky enough to meet up with rock guitarist Rich Livsey. It all just happened one afternoon, like the cosmos exploding in some distant space - BOOM! The music was made, the journey has begun. So rock and roll . . . And enjoy the Music Baby!

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: For the recording of my four song EP I worked with some talented musicians: Rich Livsey (guitar), Jordan Scannella (bass) and Bill Mead (drums). This album couldn't be possible without the contributions of some people that are very close to my heart. First and foremost, a special thanks to my loving and supportive family and friends. To J&J Mulcahy, Bernard Paet, Cayetana Paet, and Katherine Paet for helping financially making this possible. Especially, m.m. for her wisdom and guidance from the get go. Also special Thanks to The Paet's, The Livsey's, The Anderson's, The Mulcahy's, and The Catugal's. There were also some other people closely involved in this project. I would like to thank the multi-talented Robert Twing Smith for all his assistance, especially during the recording at Soundworks Recording Studios. Not to forget our studio engineer Kamilo Kratc and his "holding it all together" wife, Sandra. An extra special thanks goes out to Joel Lowe (the Marshall amp rocks!) And let me not ever forget the key ingredient in this music, the rock for which our songs roll, Rich Livsey. Lastly, an extra, extra special thanks to God.
Influences: Amy Winehouse, Jack Johnson, Alanis Morissette, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Gwen Stefani, Bob Marley, Mary J Blige, The Beatles, John Cruz and many more!
Sounds Like: Listen for yourself, and then you tell me. Songs were recorded at Soundworks Studios in Astoria, NY.
Record Label: I'm all on my own
Type of Label: None
