I'm a professional drummer based in New York City. At the moment I'm doing the freelance thing with many different bands and musicians, mostly live shows and studio sessions in and around NYC, also been touring a bit around the states with a few different acts. As a drummer my intention is always to groove and keep things in the pocket while embracing a good vibe to the musicians I'm playing with as well as the audience (in live situations). I'm versatile in genre with a preference towards rock/funk/pop oriented stuff, I also enjoy more chilled-out singer/songwriter situations, and playing open "free" music is fun too. In terms of style, sometimes I rock out in a Josh Freese approach, other times I'm low-key with brushes, some shows I play only percussion, it all depends on the gig. I do enjoy being creative with the instrument and if it's appropriate I'll mess with different sounds, like putting a cymbal on top of the snare drum, or putting coins on the floor tom or a towel over the ride cymbal . . . whatever is needed to inspire the music . . . ..
