PROJECT APOCALYPSE : The origin of Project Apocalypse came to form in a small Michigan town called Ionia, by Steve Morgan in 1999. Through the years the band has played numerous shows with fellow local and unsigned bands. They have also had the opportunity to play with national acts such as Dark Moon, Cradle of Filth, Nile, Deicide, Mortician, Exhumed, Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse, Macabre, Deeds of Flesh, and Summon. The band line up from 2000 to 2004 included Steve Morgan on the bass and volkills, Sonny Alcala on the guitar and vokills, Drummer Drug on the drums and John Cherpes on keyboards and vokills. The band released their first three-song demo in 2000, and released their full-length cd in the spring of 2002 entitled “Epitaph Of Creation”. The band continued to play out live and write new material when in the Spring of 2005 the band took some time off to regroup. With the departure of Cherpes, Steve Morgan filled in on the bass briefly with Saginaw metal band Apostle Of Perversion handling bass duties for their performance at the 2005 Altered Skin Revolution and Alcala and Drug joining Defcon 666 for a short time before being convinced to get back together by Bob Colton from Choke Chain Records who wanted to add the band to the newly formed labels' roster. The band agreed it was a good idea and recruited the guitar palying skill of former Wind Of The Black Mountains member Nuzzi. Although the band now had a solid musical line up they still wanted to add a solid front man to the arsenal, and after atempting to try a few different vocalists were still not satisfied with the position. Frustrated, the band decided to call on the man who reunited the band, ex-Amputist and Apostle Of Perversion vocalist Bob "Spewlord" Colton. Colton made the trek from Bay City to Ionia and after 1 practice was now the new voice of Project Apocalypse. In the summer of 2006 Michigan heavy metal drum legend Tim Sever (ex- Masochist, Wind Of The Black Mountains, Production Grey, and current Genocya member) took over on the skins for Drummer Drug, and soon after, band co-founder Steve Morgan left to persue his project Bloodborne, So long time friend and genocya bassest Jim Albrecht jumped on as the new bass player.
