Enrapture was formed around 1999 in Muskegon, Michigan and has had some lineup changes through the years. Guitarist Jeremy Turgeon is the only remaining original member of the band. Adam Eklund took over drumming duties shortly after that along with ex guitarist Andy Eklund and ex-vocalist Chad Conant were searching for a bassist to fill a hole that was left in 2001. Eric Johnson filled that hole and a couple weeks later recorded a very rough 4 track demo simply titled "Rough Demo 2001" which contained 4 songs. In February 2002 the band hooked up with Dan Wieten(Ex-Oddity/Namaste guitarist) to record our second demo "Ceremonially Impure" on his 8 track recorder. Shortly after that in May Eric had to leave the band for personal reasons. Andy Eklund dropped out of the band and was replaced by Casey Ingersoll and Chad Conant left as well. A couple different vocalists joined at different times until Adam Garvey stepped up and filled the vocalist spot. There's been a couple different bassists at that time also. Eric rejoined the band after 3 years and the band is in the process of recording their debut CD "Prelude to Darkness" at Exit Door Productions in Muskegon. "Prelude to Darkness" will be released through Darqueside Music which is a new label that Enrapture has signed with. There is a sampler of 5 of the songs that will appear on the full length for people to listen to before the CD is complete. Shortly after the recording process for "Prelude to Darkness" was done, Enrapture and Casey parted ways. Shows were done as a 4 piece until longtime friend and Project Apocalypse guitarist Sonny Alkala offered his services and joined the band mid November 2006.
Since 2001, Enrapture have been fortunate enough to play with the following bands: Origin, Goatwhore, Gorgasm, Putrid Pile, Dead for Days, Project Apocalypse, Hokori, Dagon, Incinerate, Fecal Corpse, ETTS, Manias, Brutalized, Lividity, Lust of Decay, Psychomancer, RuptureChrist(RIP), Unhallowed, Summon, Through the Mist, Aeternal, Sadomasochism(RIP), Flesh for the Beast(3 ex-Sado members), Revile, Malicious Hate, Scopata Di Morte, Incipient Madness, Project Chaos, Sin Theorem, In for the Kill, Hraefenzaj, Cursed Eternity, Genocya, Oddity, Blokhed, Reprobation, Dumah, The Miscreants, Indrid, If He Dies He Dies, Densmore among others.
