About Me

PRODUCER - WRITER - VOCALIST - COACH
This is my 21st year in TwangTown!
C'mon out and hear "The Karen Angela Moore Band" my five piece group - or "K-Squared" my duo with Kent Gunderson! We have alot of fun, play all original music, and frankly - you can't be sad when you're swingin' !!
So whadya wanna know? Past stuff? Ok - I came here during the best of times! A development deal, opening for the Sweethearts of the Rodeo complete with Vince Gill cooking hamburgers...playing The Ralph Emery Show, Crook and Chase, singing with Tom T. Hall and Lynn Anderson...playin' the Bluebird and Douglas Corner, singing demos on my lunch hours, and studio backup vocal sessions till my head was spinning! Yes - it was everything a midwest girl could've imagined! (God I miss Wisconsin!)
After numerous metamorphoses and hiatuses to NYC and Austin and Kansas City and music points inbetween...I'm still here! And still swingin' in TwangTown!
Personally - I perform Swing, Jazz, Blues, and some Americana. Professionally I produce and write all of the above as well as Country, Novelty, Children, Folk, and a few other styles.
I recorded with The John Pizzarelli Trio the same year I did a project with The Green Bay Packers...Yeah! I like to refer to that year as going from "The Sublime to the Ridiculous!" Guess which project paid for a couple of years of groceries?
I've worked with The John Pizzarelli Trio, Tom T. Hall, Lynn Anderson, The Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Freddy Fender, Koko Taylor, Janie Fricke, Jack Green, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Anita Bryant, The Green Bay Packers, The Tennessee Titans, Dick Schaap and ESPN - you get the picture...
I was a contestant the TNN "10 Seconds Game Show," for several years I hosted a weekly writer's night at the Silver Dollar Saloon on Lower Broadway (now the HardRock Cafe') - the place where Patsy Cline waitressed...played Fan Fair, Tin Pan South, and I and hosted/produced a Nashville Music Industry TV show, as well as being involved in a good number of videos.
I'm a longterm Mentor member of Just Plain Folks - a worldwide music association; and I listen to and critique literally THOUSANDS of independent artist albums every year! www.jpfolks.com
