Please keep your message brief, explaining who you are, what you would like to submit (must be certifiably original art or entertainment-related matter, from Philly or Philly-area artists), and provide us with relevant links (to pictures, mp3's, video, etc.), so we can decide if you will be reviewed/featured on the website.

The staff will determine what stories are to be featured, and/or put into the PhillyIndieNight.com VIDEO SPOTLIGHT--the artist of the month, who we will produce a short video piece on.

My Interests

music, photography, poetry, original works of fiction, original works of non-fiction, visual arts (performance/theater, etc.), film (short, long, and in between), galleries, painting, sculpture, illustration, etchings, glass-blowing, metal working, comedians, models/modeling,

I'd like to meet:

This group is for anyone who likes, plays or supports local music, DIY types, musicians, street performers, painters, artists, metaphysicians, etc. Join if you'd like to keep up to date (or post info) about Philly area shows, events, etc.

This is true, probably moreso than ever now!. This page is no longer JUST dedicated to music. While music has been, and will CONTINUE to be a heavy focus, the new PhillyIndieNight.com page--formerly PhillyMusicRawks--will be promoting ALL arts and entertainment in Philadelphia. Give us a while to get the full scoop out to you. We'll go through some growing pains, undoubtedly, but we'll all know more about the arts (local artists, that is!) in Philadelphia, as a result.

...and hopefully, so too, will the world!

Music:

Local Philly and Philly area musicians. For example, be sure to check out Kid Kreyol , who will be one of the bands featured with the launch of PhillyIndieNight.com. We don't want to spoil it by telling you any more.

Movies:

Whatever wonderful shorts, films, movies, etc. YOU the local director/actors/producers, etc. would like to show. Bring it!

Television:

KILL YOUR TELEVISION!

Books:

We'll review it, and post it (short works of original fiction and non-fiction, reviews of local artists, bands, films, photographers, authors, events, etc., included!!!)

Heroes:

We have many MANY varied influences and heroes. We're not going to speak for YOU. Hopefully YOU'LL find some new LOCAL heroes amongst Philly's artistic community.
