Kitty Kat Dirt Nap (2002-2007)

Amid Philadelphia's eclectic music scene, the synth-pop of Kitty Kat Dirt Nap rocks with humor and pathos. The five piece is made up of Adam Eckhoff (guitar/vocals), Ernie Pester (guitar), Tom Bilotta (bass), Ben Wawro (drums), and Jaclyn Bjork (synth/vocals). The band spent two years cutting their teeth playing with Reggie and the Full Effect, OKGO!, and Dressy Bessy, culminating with their first full length release, "I Am A Robot. I Am Talking Like A Robot. I Am A Robot," in 2004. Alternating between cute and crunchy with male and female vocals, the Dirt Nap was quickly described as, "Care Bears with Uzi's declaring war on Weezer Island!"With the new album behind them, the Dirt Nap continued to play shows along the East Coast, picking up legions of fist pumping, rump shaking kids along the way.
