"The Beginning Stages"
I started rhyming and producing in 1998 when I was 14 as a hobby and like anything you stick with I began to get more confident in my musical abilities. A couple of years prior to me being introduced to producing hip hop I found myself overseas in post apartheid South Africa, the year before that I was in Australia and the year before that I was headed to Switzerland. Every country had a different sound and appeal and I was determined to reflect that in my music.
"Home Is Where The Heart Is"
I've always lived in and around Philadelphia (not counting a brief stint as a freshman at RIT in 2001) and will always feel home here, however I felt that the city was missing a major hip hop based record label presence. In 2004 I began recording people in my home based studio under the name "Up & Unda Studios" and came away with four completed albums in little over a year. Up & Unda became UNUdub.com in 2006 which bought in 4,000+ internet visitors a day (they came for the free section) and UNUdub.com was closed in 2008 so that I could record and release the collaborative album "STAT (Sooner Than Already There)" which is available as a free mix tape.
"More Ground To Cover"
Currently I am working on a project titled "The Heist" which features EL3G and myself making plans to steal into the industry via Dead Presidents, Heat, and Oceans 11 references. Stay tuned.
