About Me

I am a curious mixture of 1930s/40s elegance and all out rock chick. I love wit and music, read an alarming amount, have a fetish for seamed stockings and gorgeous shoes. I am an Olympic standard shopper and love traveling. I love LA miss living there and plan to be there again soon.
I perform exquisite, elegant burlesque shows worldwide as Gwendoline Lamour. I have been corseting and collecting vintage clothes and object d'art since the age of 15, but my passion and fascination with 1940s glamour began long before that! Do visit my website Gwendoline Lamour.com

Think Britain can’t do pin-up glamour? A few slack-jawed moments watching Miss Lamour’s ‘Crystal Shoe’ performance might just change your mind
Simone Baird, Time Out
Gwendoline Lamour, the Gypsy Rose Lee of our times, performed an elaborate Madame de Pompadour routine, then decorously plucked and ate the cherry from out of my Sweet Manhattan.
Hermione Erye Independent on Sunday
Spectacular, sensuous and riveting, Gwendoline Lamour’s burlesque performances recreate an exotic era with exquisite delicacy and wit; an exceptional and alluring talent
Matt Springford, The Culture Show, BBC
Gwendoline Lamour is a stunning, sensational feast of sensuality
John Wellington, Managing Editor, Mail on Sunday
Timeless elegance of a bygone age, a feast for the eyes and senses, tantalizing the onlooker with awe inspiring finesse; there is only one Gwendoline Lamour!
Louis Mariette, celebrity hat designer
And then a photographer introduced me to Gwendoline Lamour, a raven-haired chanteuse and dancer with the kind of chassis that made Betty Page a fortune, and the nylons to match. Gwen told us that at an impressionable age she'd seen Seventies' starlet Carol Hawkins perform a striptease in Not Now, Comrade and could never thereafter banish the mental image of twirling silver nipple tassels.
