About Me

Welcome to my Myspace page. I am a singer/songwriter (and producer) originally from Cambridge, but now based in London.
In between those two locations, I lived and worked in Australia, where I toured extensively, released my first album, and produced CDs for some outstanding acoustic artists including Paul Greene and Dominique Fraissard (both on this page – do check 'em out). I also collaborated with some great electronic producers including Deep Child and FreQ Nasty - who are also on my page.
I am currently promoting my first UK album, 8 Weeks, 11 Days, 12 Hours & 45 Minutes… which was made not long after I returned from Australia. It is deliberately understated – almost to the point of ambience. After five years of playing four nights a week in the rough and ready pubs of the East Coast, I really need to do something thoughtful and subtle.
I guess I hoped to make the kind of album Nick Drake would have created if he'd had a laptop.
So one day I put up some mics and recorded all my songs in one take. I then added some other instruments – playing as many of them as I could myself. It was mixed by Dan Rejmer and I in my London studio.
Here's what some people have said about it so far:
"An accomplished and atmospheric debut album" - Mick Glossop, producer/engineer; Van Morrison, The Waterboys.
"Blissful sounds: really moved the crowd; our best festival in years..." - Amnesty festival co-ordinator (City of London).
"A beautiful voice" - Sacha Lucashenko, singer/guitarist, The Morning After Girls.
I have tried to make a comforting, honest and timeless album – something to sleep, read, drive, fall in love or dream to. If you like what you hear, please support original music and buy a copy from: iTUNES! or CD BABY
I also have a residency at the Dog House pub in Kennington every second Sunday, so come down and see me and long-time guitarist Andy Trowers if you are in London.
And finally, I write and produce the music for SweetTooth , a project with vocalist Fleurtini who sang on my album. She is an exceptional talent, so please check out our page here. The album is half way through production.
PS: I am working on my next solo album, which will have a more raw, melodic and acoustic guitar-driven sound, a sample of which is on this page.
