About Me

OdAm fEI mUd (Oh-dom feh mood), is a samurai-core, performance art group. The performance is choreographed fighting and sword work, ripping away at prosthetics and props, only to give way to a bloodbath! The music is the only narative to this stage performance in tyranny and ambiguity! And GORE! The music itself waxes and wanes between Japanese traditionals and sounds of contemporary musical genres!

Influences: Lone Wolf and Cub (comic series and movies), Akira Kurosawa films (Seven Samurai, Hidden Fortress), Matthew Barney's Cremaster Cycle, Gwar, Marilyn Manson, John Cage, Johnny Cash, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Motoman Project (motomanproject.org), Gary Staab (staabstudios.com), Sonny Chiba, Bruce Lee, Takshi Miike films (Gozu, Audition, Ichi the Killer, Dead or Alive Trilogy), Tetsuo the Iron Man, Begotten, Tool, NIN, Nirvana, Jucifer, Melvins, the Residents, Ministry, Clutch, Henry Rollins, Fugazi, Black Flag, Misfits, Hank Williams, Alvin Lucier, etc.
Sounds Like: Japanese minimalism, western rock, Akira Kurosawa film scores, butt rock. Other than that don't sound like a band most would know.
