You.
I listen to pretty much everything....including (but not limited to...): Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Robert Johnson, Ma Rainey, Louis Armstrong, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, JAMES BROWN, B.B. King, Le Tigre (YAH!!), Walls of Jericho, Overthrow, Joan Jett, Peaches, Pretty Girls Make Graves, the Distillers, Descendants, Bjork, Madonna, Sade, Notorious BIG (Yeah, I said it....wanna fight about it?), Portishead, PJ Harvey, Led Zepplin! Led Zepplin! Led Zepplin! ACDC, I See Spies, Angry Amputees, Coheed and Cambria, Barium, God Forbid, Thousand Year Suffering, The White Stripes, Placebo, Primus, anything that Ben Roy screams in (sigh), anything with a cowbell, and anything with a little dirt........
I'll watch any movie once, any great movies 5 or 6 times...but cheesy girly teeny bopper flicks I can watch forever. She's all That, 10 things I hate about you, Clueless, Legally Blonde, Bring it On, The Cutting Edge, The Breakfast Club, Heart Breakers.....I have a problem...I know. I do like really great and well made movies (not involving bad teen actors) as well, but I can't help watching the poorly made, completely predictable ones. I am so ashamed. What I will not watch: WAR MOVIES. Why, you ask? Well here's one reason: Storyline....bang bang bang bang (explosion) bang bang bang (close up of dead guy) bang bang (explosion) bang bang bang (main character just got wounded) bang bang (another close up of a dead guy)bang bang (speech about brotherhood) bang bang (sensitive lead character makes it home and his wife has a baby). End of movie.
Besides the occasional Red Sox game at a bar...I don't watch television. If I started, I would never stop. Besides, NPR is WAY better!
Anything David Sedaris, Sylvia Plath, Charles Bukowski, Jaqueline Susann. Blue Highways, Pimp, Catcher in the Rye, The Giver, (the biography of) Diane Arbus.
Diane Arbus will always be my photographic hero (I'm a dork), and David Sedaris is my other hero currently--read his books...you'll pee your pants.
