More About Us:
THE MOVEMENT ORCHESTRA is comprised of some of the hottest musicians in the music game, all of which have extensive performance, recording, and touring credits to their name. Consisting of 17 members, including a four-piece horn section, and a five-piece string orchestra, The M.O. has traveled the world together, and continue to tour with such artists as the legendary Ms. Patti LaBelle, pop superstar Christina Aguilera and 10-time Grammy Award winning producer/ songwriter/ and artist BABYFACE.
Their work and performances include the 2004 Grammy Award performance of the Grammy Award winning song "Beautiful"-Christina Aguilera, the 2004 All Star Game featuring Christina Aguilera, a European tour with Ms. Patti LaBelle, and most notably, the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards with Christina Aguilera and Nelly, along with a host of television appearances including Saturday Night Live, the 2003 MTV VMA's featuring Redman, and VH1 Big In 03.
They have now recorded their double CD, and completed their DVD sampler, "Welcome to THE MOVEMENT", in which they take you behind the scenes and show you the magic that creates the music.
Fluent in every style, including pop, R&B, gospel, soul, rock, and jazz, THE MOVEMENT ORCHESTRA expresses every genre of music on their album, "YOUNG PHILOSOPHERS, DREAMERS, AND ANTHROPOLOGISTS". It is because of this versatility that they are able to write, produce, and perform any style of music. They are not only a band, but a production empire. "Our goals is to create hit records, to create a new sound in the industry that is reminesant of MOTOWN in their day, using live instruments and true musicianship to make hits", says Rob Lewis, the band's principal writer and producer. "The game has changed, and it is saturated with beat-driven songs. And not that we don't do beats, we all do, but we are true musicians at heart, and we wanna bring that back in style again."
