Hi there my name is Raphael Monsanto and i try to make music. Beautiful, sad, happy, angry, lovely music. I grew up on Curacao a small Island in the carribean where i got to learn my first few chords on a guitar and also got in contact with rock, pop and metal. Ofcourse there were also a lot of latin influences because of the island being in south america. With 16 i moved to the Netherlands where i startet playing in a few bands. At first it was just plain metal but then I even had a darker hour where i was member of a boy band for three years, wich i must say wasn´t too bad cause i learned a lot to my singing. I have been in germany now for two years and am trying my luck here.I also have a cover band that is doing really well www.rubiosos.de and i´ve played with quite some interesting people like juanes and jamelia, joe cocker and others, but ofcourse my main focus is to try to get my own music out to the world. So if you are interested in listening to some tunes, check by more often and when i get my website only i will let everybody know. Jamelia is an absolutely great singer, and even more important a very nice and kind person. Every station we where at she gave them more then they expected and her voice just stayed top notch troughout all the recordings. Got the oppurtunity to play with her again in Dec 2006 and she is still the same lovely person she was 2 years ago. Thx Jem for the opportunity to play with u.

El senor Juanes, what a nice and reserved person, got to play a few shows with him in germany and not only he but also his crew such nice people, i guess musicians should always stay down to earth it makes for such a cool culture. "Juan eres el mejor y gracias por la comida italiana en Mannheim ;)
