Fight Ageism!

About Me

The National Youth Rights Association is a non-partisan, youth-led national non-profit organization dedicated to fighting for the civil rights and liberties of young people. We fight against age discrimination. NYRA has members in all 50 states, nearly 7,000 in total, and chapters from coast to coast. We work to lower the voting age, lower the drinking age, repeal curfew laws, protect student rights, and fight against ageism where ever we see it.

We've got a great website at YouthRights.org with an active forum community. If you are interested in more information on the organization, or looking to get involved (please!?) then check out the website:

My Interests

..

youth rights, lowering the voting age, lowering the drinking age, fighting for student rights, destroying ageism, exposing youth oppression, abolishing curfews, fighting gulag schools, and having fun while doing it.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone out there who is fed up with being judged by their birthdate instead of who they are. Anyone who is sick of being treated like a child and punished like an adult. Anyone who thinks the voting age and drinking age are too high. Anyone who thinks it's time to free youth. And especially people who have the balls to go out and actually do something about it.

Music:

Heroes:

John Holt, Richard Farson, Mike Males, John Taylor Gatto, and any young person who has the guts to stand up for themselves and fight back against the powers that keep them down.
