Claudio Bellato

Chitarrista nato il 12/10/1971 a Savona, ma di origini venete, inizia a suonare all’età di 16 anni. Nel Giugno 1996 si diploma in chitarra al C.P.M di Milano dopo aver studiato per tre anni con Franco Mussida e Pete la Pietra. Nel 1997 si autoproduce il c.d. acustico “Song for the Moon” contenente brani di propria composizione, unitamente a covers di jazz e blues tradizionale. Da allora ad oggi ha collaborato in veste di cantante e chitarrista, on gruppi rock, blues acustico (Paolo Bonfanti) orchestre di ballo,piano bar, alternando tutto ciò con l’insegnamento privato. Due brani tratti dal suo c.d di cover “Guitar tales” hanno vinto due edizioni del concorso mensile indetto dalla rivista “Chitarre”: "Nuages" di Django Reinardth nel numero di Dicembre 2002, ed "All of me" nel numero di Febbraio 2003. Nel 2006 viene contattato dalla scuola media statale Ollandini in Alassio (SV) come insegnante di chitarra. Partecipa come musicista alla trasmissione televisiva "Liguria in piazza". Il 19 Maggio 2006 apre il quarto festival jazz di Spotorno con un concerto di sola chitarra, dal quale è stato ricavato un D.V.D. Chitarrista acustico ed elettrico non disdegna l’uso dell’elettronica (computer, campionamenti, ecc.) in fase compositiva e di arrangiamento, il tutto all’insegna di produzioni musicali completamente autogestite. I suoi amori e le sue influenze musicali sono musicisti come Michael Hedges, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis. E' presente con alcuni brani nel sito internet "Vitaminic". E' inoltre presente nel sito www.stadiomobile.com come chitarrista della tribute band degli Stadio "Universi Sommersi".

Italian guitarist born in Savona (Italy), in 1971, Claudio Bellato’s family moved to Savona from Veneto (this is the roots…) when he was born. He started to play at the age of 16. In 1996 he got a diploma in guitar from the C.P.M school in Milano, after three years of studies with Franco Mussida and Pete La Pietra. In 1997 he recorded his first self-producted acoustic record: (Song for the moon) a work of his own composition, including acoustic covers of traditional and blues. From then on; Claudio has worked with many rock and blues groups (Paolo Bonfanti), Dance orchestra, piano bar,private lesson. Two song from is C.d of cover (Guitar tales) won the month contest of the Italian review Chitarre (Nuages) of Django Reinardth in the number of December 2002 and (All of me) in February 2003. In 2006 he was contacted from the secondary school (Ollandini) in Alassio (Italy) as a guitar teacher. At the same time he worked as a musician in the t.v program (Liguria in piazza). In May 2006 Claudio opened the fourth jazz festival of Spotorno Italy; his performance of only acoustic guitar has been recorded on dvd. Acoustic and electric guitarist Claudio doesn’t disdain the technology (Computer ,sample ecc.) especially during the composition of his works. He as been influenced by outstanding and diverse artists such as: Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Michael Hedges and many others.
