Growing up in a hostile climate in the streets of south Sweden , this rapper always got into serious trouble as a teen. Somehow he managed to 180 it all around, and focus on his music. After doing countless of classic performances, collaborations, and recording tons of material with various producers from all over, Paying Duze often found him self coming up short to the sound he was looking for. He linked up with the production crew Phatbeatz Productions and one classic track after another took shape. These recordings would later prove to spark a huge interest among some of the top industry people in New York City, and have become somewhat of a milestone for his future carrier in music.
Duze explains: -Ever since I picked up a mic, I knew that someday I would go to New York, and try to get a deal. This is where it all started, the heart. Any serious English speaking Rapper outside the US, who tells you they haven't dreamt about it, is lying! Duze, who is now an American Citizen breaks it down -"There are just to few who got the balls to take the leap, and believe it is possible. It scares a lot of MCs picturing themselves competing with such acts as "Nas" or "Jay-Z". It is in the ears of the listener. Some will tell you B.I.G is the greatest of all time, some will say TuPac, and some might even tell you that Paying Duze is the greatest , but I'll bet you, if you took a poll among the next generation of "Hip Hopers" today, Biggie or Tupac wouldn't even be in the top 10 of all time. Wake Up!! Hip Hop will never be what is once was, man, music will never be what it once was. It is what it is now, nothing more nothing less. I love some I reject some , good and bad, all I can do is to give my interpretation of what I think should be said, and done in this fu**** up world, and music industry. The real, my life, and my views. Who can deny me !!??"
After growing tired of the limited public interest for HipHop-music in his familiar surroundings, he now had only one thing set on his mind, and that was to merge onto the music scene in New York. The self sufficient MC packed up his studio gear, had it shipped, then bought a one way ticket, and landed in New York/Queens, where he currently live. He now needed to set up a Recording studio! He hooked up with Peter Munch (dance/funk/Hip Hop producer) and Adrian Morgan (mastering engineer) They found a space in Brooklyn, split it up in 3 separate spaces (studios) and Duze went to work and built his studio with his own hands, and put every last cent he had at the time into completing the project. In a short period of time he has already begun making a buzz, appearing on mix tapes, getting airplay on your favorite radio stations, and performing whenever he gets a chance.
With exploding confident, this New York resident dares to say what other Rappers do not. He tells his street stories, and mixes the hard with the commercial in a unique blend, with everyday topics paralleling extreme political and religious views. It is safe to say He is more then "just a rapper", Duze is a rebel in his own right.
Paying Duze is currently in the studio working with Sky Touchers (among others) on new material for his upcoming LP. "I have grown in a big way as an artist the last couple of years, and I think this LP undoubtedly will surprise, and blow allot folks away"
