TRUE TO THE GAME!

About Me

http://www.GlitterMaker.com/ - Glitter GraphicsMY page shows it all about my personality. With the exception of one other attribute that's not depicted here. It's laughing!!:D. Philosopher Agnes Repplier said: "We cannot really love anybody with whom we never laugh." SO TRUE!!! My husband harbors a great sense of humor, and this was one of his magnetic traits that drew me closer to him. We dated for only 10 months before our marriage. When life's pressures seem insurmountable, he's always there for me to turn to; to lean on as he switches the negativity into a positive resolution.(*CHEYLA*)~~The WOMAN ~~ I'm unpredictable, capricious, empathetic, highly sensitive, intuitive, sometimes moody, but not omnicient nor infallible. Require solitude at times just to chill and re-calibrate and re-connect with myself, other times - want to cuddle. Get quite upset when people try to change me. I'm "TRUE TO THE GAME" the way I am now; I don't need to change anything about myself. There's a more concrete descriptive profile of "me" below.("UGGS")~~ His owners changed him by shaving his beautiful fur. Notice his sad countenance. I'm sure he despises his new "makeover." Precisely what happens when people try to "change" anyone or even the appearance and/or instincts of an animal when apparently nothing was amiss from the jump.("WOLVERINE")~~ Can be tough and hot-tempered. But fair, always willing to accept/admit fault and to forgive. Don't manifest my emotions unless it's absolutely necessary. I protect & I'm fiercely LOYAL to my "peeps" especially to my husband. I don't take isht from anyone. I'm a "straight up dedicated soldier" - I acquired this knowledge from my parents who instilled this & other pertinent life factors toward my development & also being in the United States Army, to protect and defend this nation, further commanded and demanded this honorable aspect. I make unflinching eye contact while speaking to anyone (not engaging in a staring contest, or any intention of intimidation) - whether it's someone I've just met or an aquaintance, friend, colleague, family member, etc. In my opinion, if a person tend to cast their eyes downward, avert their eyes incessantly in order to avoid eye contact, or I cannot see their gaze at all, be it sunglasses or a hat which impedes the connection -something's definitely up. Maybe they're shy and again maybe they're not! I'm not referring to anyone who is visually challenged - that's a medical ailment. I don't trust people right away - it takes me awhile to get to know someone - to see where they're coming from or the direction they're heading - don't have time for: "discriminators", "crossovers" ~~ racially, not musically ~~ "player-haters, "wannabees", "sellouts", "users" evasive, jealous, envious, or egotistical people and those who take advantage of the kindness of others; people who suffer from self-hatred, self-pity (not the occasional blues or a diagnosis of depression) & narcissism - (CAN'T TRUSS 'EM!). Please don't misconstrue what I'm trying to impart. There's nothing amiss about having a HEALTHY sense of self-respect, self-pride & self-esteem, these are inward traits everyone is endowed with & should strive to maintain throughout their lifetime. People work damn hard to achieve their goals in life, whether you're rich and famous or not, and I, in no way, will ever defer anyone's dreams or aspirations. I'll be supportive, honest & will applaud them, wholeheartedly, near & afar!!("ME")~~ Fearless, Loyal, Gifted, Brave, Determined, Strong & Inspired. My husband dedicated and serenaded Raheem DeVaughn's song: "YOU", to me. I actually cried tears of joy!! It was a very special, tender & loving moment ~~ a tribute in which I'll never forget. The song accompanied with the video touched my heart and the depths of my soul. My husband concurred with every word; every verse and the message it conveyed pertaining to his INSPIRED perception of me!! It is an exceptionally, beautifully~written song!! The precision of the text which flashes on the screen gives an impeccable description of my life: then & now. I've experienced family problems during my childhood, however, I possessed the presence of mind to remain STRONG!! I'm still going thru some tough times, hell, everyone does, but I AM DETERMINED and resolute to face each situation in a FEARLESS and BRAVE manner, refusing to let anyone or anything keep me down. As the GIFTED, legendary & immortal Bob Marley said, "DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT!!!" Other notable Icons who've INSPIRED my take on life also have imparted wise admonitions. Nelson Mandela said:(para-phrasing) "We as a people have the right to be treated as human beings." So treat everyone as to how you wish to be treated. Leonard Peltier, deep within the souls of his ancestors along with his own, said: "MITAKUYE OYASIN" - it interprets, "WE ARE ALL RELATED." A revered civil rights activist once said in a speech that: "LIFE IS HARD AS STEEL." Therefore, it behooves each and every one of us, when life's hardships weighs heavily upon our spirit, to do exactly what Poet Maya Angelou, so eloquently & poignantly, while speaking from her heart in one of her poems, said: "I RISE, I RISE, I RISE."

Heroes:

F. Scott Fitzgerald famously said: "Show me a HERO, I'll write you a TRAGEDY." An ominous quote to say the least. However, I do have five. They are as follows:My parents, even though they had their faults, did a HELLUVA job contributing their love coupled with discipline raised me into being the strong, independent woman that I am today!! There will ALWAYS be a special place in my heart for you both, W & W!!My loving husband, who's also my best friend, lover & confidante. He's a 6'5" teddy-bear who exhibits a TREMENDOUS amount of: warmth, sensitivity, empathy, patience, understanding, and insight. And I'm the first to admit that I'm a HANDFUL:-D!! NO marriage is perfect, and NO amount of advice from "experts" can tell you how to live it as a couple!!! We've had our "ups & downs" and some days it was as if we were in a state of "animated suspension" but we "stuck" together as one & triumphantly prevailed over life's adversities for more than TWENTY YEARS!!! Sophocles said: "One word frees us of all the weight & pain of life: That word is LOVE." We hold sacred our wedding vows: Let no man put asunder & the most important one of them all: "TIL DEATH DO US PART". I TRULY LOVE YOU UNTIL TIME INDEFINITE!!!Also two close friends who always holla back at me despite their hectic schedules, providing a "listening" ear to offer advice accordingly and a "shoulder" to lean on when I'm feeling "blue." Assisting me any way they can ~~ unsolicited. Their quiet demeanor is exhibited by their deep sense of compassion and encouragement. That's precisely the reason I trust them both implicitly. They're striving to reach the pinnacle in their lives - the sky's the limit!! I truly admire their unwavering commitment, their indomitable spirit, steadfast dedication, bold determination, and, of course, their infinite fortitude. However, I do worry that sometimes they're working excessively hard to accomplish their goals and admonish them to take great care of themselves.Philosopher Henry David Thoreau said, "Be True To Your Work, Your Word, & Your Friend." These legendary words are aptly quoted -- pertaining to them both.TO MY FRIENDS: ALWAYS STAY TRUE TO YOURSELVES, YOUR ENDEARING FAMILY & TO OTHERS. DON'T EVER CHANGE & DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT!!!The world is a better place because of people like "YOU." Luv ya both!!
