About Me

Bakery of the Poets.org You can help support our work by subscribing to our blog; (A?)musing de Bergerac Nonprofit Arts Org and 'z ine In Support of Artists Artists connect us to one another by creating a shared vocabulary for expressing our lives and our common the experiences. There is a quote often attributed to C.S. Lewis which says, "We read to know we are not alone." This can be said of any art form. Each time we stand before a painting or hear a piece of music or read a passage from a book which strikes a chord within us on an individual level, we are connected to the artist who created that work and through them, to everyone else who felt what we felt. The ability to wield that kind of creativity is a beautiful and powerful thing. And when we are gone, those who come after us will be able to learn about our society and culture, not just the names and dates of who achieved what where, but the social climate in which we lived, how we felt about our lives and about each other. Though rarely wealthy themselves, artists do much to enrich us all. Our Mission: To create the best possible art and literary journal (on or offline) with the aim of trumpeting the very best emerging and aspiring artists the arts community has to offer. To encourage, inspire and nurture artists of all disciplines. To create a philanthropic business model that will help create new aristts and make sure they get their fair share.
