Bio
Novelist, screenwriter, amateur ghost-hunter, part-time ordained minister, and husband with a slowly-improving track record.
My name is Matt St. Amand, and somehow my surname is often misconstrued as St. Armand, Stamandand, Starman, and Sand. The best one yet happens with the automated telephone voice of the Essex County Library when it calls to say the books I reserved are in. The computer reads the short form of "Saint" -- "St" -- as "Street": "Mat/thew Street A/mand, this is the..."
My namesake, St. Amand, is the patron saint of "bar staff; barkeepers; bartenders; brewers; hotel keepers; innkeepers; merchants; vine growers; vintners; wine-makers; wine merchants".
Press
The Bike Man Cometh , The Bard of Jolly Avenue , and at Murphy's Law Press .

Interview with the Devil
From James Joyce's Ulysses: They believe in rod, the scourger almighty, creator of hell upon earth, and in Jacky Tar, the son of a gun, who was conceived of an unholy boast, born of the fighting navy, suffered under rump and dozen, was scarified, flayed and curried, yelled like bloody hell, the third day he arose again from the bed, steered into haven, sitteth on the beamend till further orders whence he shall come to drudge for a living and be paid.
