The Collapse is coming!

About Me

SCRUB CLUB AND THE NO DOUGH MOVEMENT
We are a completely not-for-profit outfit.
That means that no artist on the label, even MadHatter himself, gets ANY cut of the money. All sales immediately go right back into buying more supplies, equipment, and merch. We truly do this for the love and not the money. We understand that most Scrubs are poor as hell, and because of that, we have cds for free to download and other items for only a dollar. The most expensive merchandise you’ll ever see us sell are our solid steel No Dough pendants, which are 10 bucks. We’re more interested in giving the common listener a chance to get their hands on EVERYTHING they could ever want from our label.
We support the true roots of Hip Hop, and despise what has happened to it since it’s creation, split, and transformation into radio rap. We support the community and talk about politics, learning, and the lighter side of life. We educate and help people with their stresses and problems. We do NOT rap about money, cars, women, and guns because we are NOT on that tip. Hell, we don’t have any of that, so why should we talk about it in our music? Instead, we keep it real and stand up against greed and violence. We have some serious music, some tracks to make you laugh, some storytelling, spoken word, remixes... there’s something for everyone.
The very symbol for our label is a crossed-out money sign (the No Dough Logo). We will not rest until you see that logo on every block in Wichita, and until we open thousands of eyes to the right way, the original code of Hip Hop and the very way of life. Beyond Wichita? Well, that’s all plus. We’re changing lives, not cashing checks. And now with good amounts of support in other states and a few more in other countries, we will take this as far as we possibly can to make our part of the world a better place.
BE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS - GET INVOLVED
Want to join our army as we take over the music, gaming, and art scenes? We’re on a mission to destroy anything fake and promote our fresh ideas and attitude worldwide! We’re always on the hunt for new family and connections.
There’s a whole section on our official site that has banners, buttons, wallpapers, flyers, and other things that you can download for free and use anywhere! Also, if you have a few bucks, we have a merchandise store with some really fresh clothing you can rep. We don’t make any money off of the sales as an outside company produces the goods, but we’ve seen the products and they’re great quality.
If you dig our music and what we’re trying to do for the community, then feel free to get involved. Bootleg our albums and pass them out. Download some flyers, print them up, then toss them out like chinese stars on rapid fire. Get stories about us published in your local papers or on your favorite sites. Get us played on your favorite online stations and podcasts. Contact us and set up a Scrub Club concert with your local venues. Since we run on the love of our fans and family, we’re not held back by money issues or drama, so we can go as far as you can spread us! Send in pictures of yourself promoting us and we’ll put them on the site. Go crazy with it!
Spread the word, y’all! Get people to come check us out on MySpace, then send them to our official site! It’s crammed full of free music, pictures, downloads, our street team generals from other countries, hot scrubby chick models, information, background stories, bios, and ways to contact everyone on the label. It’s a lot of hard work for us, but it’s worth it to give you all what you need to enjoy our projects and to share it with those likeminded Scrubs around you.
BEST GOD DAMN PODCAST FOR REAL - LISTEN UP
You all know Scrub Club works hard for almost no reward except for meeting people just like us. Well, we have found a group just like us in a completely different field... An everything-goes podcast!
The cute little cartoon bastards above combine and call themselves "The Awful Show." Based out of Pennsylvania with one host joining in from Kansas City, the program is a fresh-ass talk show. It features an unedited stew of viewpoints, music from underground artists, games, prank calls, and interviews with guests from all over. It’s well worth listening to, and it’s real easy to laugh your ass off in the process. CLICK THEIR BANNER TO CHECK OUT THE SHOW!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: scrubclubrecords.com
Band Members: MadHatter, Chester, Shelshocker, DJ CutterJ, and Benjamin Bear
Influences: Each artist that Scrub Club features has a different range of musical tastes.

The label as a whole is bred mostly of a past of true Hip Hop, all Rock genres across the board, and Electronic music. Most are into nerdy things in life such as video games, comics, electronics, and cult movies, but that doesn't mean that our music is centered strictly on those items. What you will find is a wide arrangement of completlely different styles and subject matter that can be deep and serious, sexy, comical, whatever your current mood requires.

MadHatter is into every single kind of music except for country, and loves Hip Hop, Industrial, and Metal. Shelshocker digs rock and some punk. Chester is a classic rock lover and digs the old crooners as well. CutterJ listens to everything under the sun, and like Hatter, has a serious crush on the 1980s. Benjamin Bear can groove with just about any style of music, and it's obvious when you hear his tracks.

We like to mix absolutely everything together and produce a new music people of all kinds can listen to and enjoy, with lyrics almost everyone can relate to.

Other odd stuff most of us seem to enjoy are things like Yanni, noise albums, Billie Holiday, J-Pop, Ill Mitch, Raffi, Wesley Willis, Mike Patton projects, British emcees, Phantom Of The Opera (original Broadway cast), and that unisexual little pimp formerly and currently known as Prince.
Sounds Like: Twiztid, Sage Francis, Da Kippa, MC Frontalot, Tech N9ne, F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants, Fort Minor, The Killaz
