I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I live with my wonderful fiance, Rich, here in Nottingham. We moved here solely because of Rock City. Can you say yay?!We have three gorgeous cats, one baby robin who seems to have adopted us, and we believe in working hard and playing hard! At the moment, I'm working as a waitress/chef/barmaid, and am soon to start a diploma in midwifery.Anything else you want to know about me, you can figure out by reading the rest of my profile; what are you waiting for?! ;pIf you knew the truly wonderful Trace and would like to donate in her memory, please go to www.madasbadgers.orgAnd APRA all the way! Rock will rule the world....

My Interests

Music, music, music, music, travel, writing (I love writing very much!), music....get the hint?! Lol. Oh, and spinning chairs...they rock.

I'd like to meet:

Henry VIII - I think the guy was ace! And it would have been amazing to have a chat with Einstein...but unfortunately, those conversations only happen in my head, so...you! However, be warned - I WILL NOT ACCEPT AN ADD if I do not know you, or if you are a band please make contact first, explaining why you think I might like your music, and I promise I will listen. But nothing pisses me off more than a random request arriving with nothing else. And for Christ's sake, don't use txt spk. But hey, follow those 2 little requests and we'll get on fine!

Music:

Ginger/the Wildhearts and AntiProduct have been the two main musical influences on me through the years, and have led to me meeting some of the most fantastic people I know. Other bands I like include Butch Walker/Marvelous 3, the Ramones, Cheap Trick, Tyla/the Dogs D'Amour, New York Dolls, the Replacements, the Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Costello, Junkster, Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainwright, Zebrahead, Silver Sun, the Wurzels (I'm still a Bristol lass at heart!), Foo Fighters, Queen, David Bowie, Backyard Babies - you get the idea!

Movies:

Rocky Horror Picture Show baby! Hehe... all the Harry Potter films, as they contain my three favourite actors; Jason Isaacs, Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman. Other than those, Truly Madly Deeply and B movie horrors

Television:

Rarely watch it, when I do it's for things like Top Gear, Doctor Who, Eggheads, Deal or no Deal, They Think It's All Over, Have I Got News For You, University Challenge (when Rich is out!). I also really love watching Farscape and Red Dwarf.

Books:

Harry Potter and loads of the old classics - Austen, Bronte, Tolkien etc. I also love history books, particularly Arthurian and Tudor, and musician biographies, as well as Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin.

Heroes:

Ginger, for coming out on the other side
