About Me

photo courtesy of Dom Henry (www.domhenry.com)
Electric Mouth hail from Robin Hood's homeland of Nottingham and the green tighted star has been a tremendous help to the band, letting them use his home in the Major Oak for some woodland practice, and also bringing in Bryan Adams to soundtrack any romantic moments.
The band consist of James Metcalf (vocals, guitar) Josh Shinner (bass, vocals) Tom Hopwood (guitar, vocals) and George Wilson (drums), and by pumping a bit rock back into the clogging indie veins, Electric Mouth try to create a sound that's been missing for too long. They encompass a wide variety of influences and styles, combining chunky rock riffs and solos with big choruses, danceable beats and catchy melodies aimed at making feet move and pulses race.
Electric Mouth released a 4 track EP on November 12th this year through the kind people at Naz Recordings, it's available for a fiver online (see links below) or at gigs, and possibly in a few shops dotted about! You'll also get an uber cool A2 poster with the EP as an added incentive! Let us know what you think of the new tunes while they're up here!
Tracklisting:
1. Belisha Beacon
2. Shooting from the Lip
3. 245
4. She Looks Good in Red
You can order the EP online already at Rough Trade and play.com if you click on the images below. (please do!) Plus it'll be on all the digital download sites from Monday 12th!

Sounds Like: "A frenetic chase scene from Mission Impossible, but with more grit and stubble than midget madman Tom Cruise could ever muster." IMPACT magazine"Uber-catchy riffs, toe-tapping choruses and flowing vocals, which positively ooze charisma." Glasswerk.co.uk"For those who like their rock with a mild dash of funk, fuelled to the brim with flaming gasoline and fully enabled with melodic vocals which don't leave your head for a month." Pickup magazine"Franz Ferdinand and Panic! At The Disco being chased by We Are Scientists." Oundle Music Festival Organisers"Driving, urgent and groove laden riffs with propulsive, rock solid stickwork and lead vocals so strong you’d swear you were listening to Eddie Vedder in his prime." The Mic magazine"Award winners, with two Battle of the Band titles under their belts, Electric Mouth's catchy brand of indie pop had plenty of hook lines, melodies and dance beats, as well as the occasional rock riff, takes the evening to a different level. Definitely one to watch, and I can’t see them playing this type of venue for long – they’ve already sold out The Fly in London and are making a name for themselves." Sandman Magazine review of gig at Hard Rock Cafe"There is something extra with Electric Mouth which makes them more than just another friendly throw-away band. Maybe its because they don’t sound like another riff-robbing, Kooks or Franz Ferdinand copy, or maybe its just because it sounds good."Leftlion.co.uk
