Fall in love and hold nothing back. Dream like a kid watching the olympics. Go on when you don't feel like it or else you're robbing yourself from a better you. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
What's up kids, I'm Chris; I enjoy sitting by my deck window and eating frosted flakes several times a day, I sleep in my clothes and brush my teeth in the shower. I make up lots of words all the time accidentally and somehow people think that they are real words that make sense to them. I like living, but I can't wait to go home. I am a person with high integrity and I enjoy the company of successful people. Don't be surprised if you get weird random messages from me. Okay, bio time.
"Singer makes mark with original style" - Frontiersman
Trusting the wrong people brings broken hearts, and the demands of the world are much. But where fear and faith coincide, Alaskan singer/songwriter Chris Bjerken constantly finds himself trapped somewhere between reality and the dream world. His goal remains that he should only aim to steer people to the few realities he has run into, aspiring for positivism while still being real enough to make you stop in thought and question where you stand.
From the humble beginnings of local coffee shops in a small town in the middle of nowhere, Bjerken has direct marketed his music only as hard as someone who with a big enough dream to the point of being unsure of another day of living if it werent for music. At times afraid that destiny was a threat, he found himself composing sounds connected to his feelings that produced such lines meant to be imprinted on your brain like "theres a hole in my heart where you used to be, but I still believe in destiny." His clever mix of familiarity and originality delivers a refreshing passionate twist to a virtually unknown place amongst the chilly skyscapes of beautiful Alaska.
In fall 2005 under the band name "The Common Thread," Chris released his first studio recording, a five song EP affectionately titled "Learning to Let Go," which includes the signature track "You Still Have My Heart." Continuing in the writing process, he switched major influences so many times throughout the next year that the diversity made it difficult to organize into a 12-song album.
Chris is currently touring his home state of Alaska while planning a future tour of the Northwest United States after the finish and release of his new album coming out early 2007 with a tentative title of "All the Things I Wish I'd Left Behind."
