it 3:03 am on a cool early summer night in palmer, alaska. i writing this from my kitchen table. i cant sleep because i slept most of the day away. anyway.
i am from alaska, but i have lived in many different places. i currently live in lakeland, florida, but the northwest, and specifically alaska will always be my home.
i really enjoy cold weather, and the fall, when the leaves turn orange and brown. i like to see my breath when i go outside, and coffee taste better when it is cold outside.
around 7 years ago, music become something real to me. i have always enjoyed listening to it, but something inside of my clicked when i started playing it. music helps me make sense of myself and the world around me. it is precious gift that i will always hold close to me. i do not take it for granted, and i feel very blessed to
be apart of something as powerful as music.
5 years ago i started playing shows for my friends, and soon i was playing pretty regularly in small clubs and coffee houses around alaska. i have been able to play with some pretty great people like matt hopper, jared woods, katieland, between the trees, pemberley, and the list continues.
in high school i recorded two cds; a 7 song full band ep called "the outroduction" and a ten song live solo recording. i have also recorded a number of demos, and small eps. if you would like a copy, just ask, ill give it to you. the cds are not in print anymore, but every now and then i play some of those songs.
lately songwriting has had a different effect on me, then in the years past. i feel like i have a more to say at this point in my life, and that music is the best way for me to express myself. it has become very self-exposing. a little honesty never hurt anyone.
aside from music, i am most passionate about you, the listener. we all have a story, and i want to hear yours. i want to get to know you, and let you get to know me. we all have different talents, and ideas on how the world works. i hope my ideas will leave an impression on you, or redefine what you already know. im not afraid to ask the life's tough questions, and i dont want you to be either.
thanks for taking time to check out my music, or come to a show. i really enjoy the friendships i have made over the past couple of years. i believe in you all, and i want to share the love i have been shown with you.
so, come on and join myself along with tons of other people, as we embark on this journey, or odyssey as we like to call it., there is a place for you, and we are all in this together.
