OUR VISION & MISSION:
The present state of the local 'underground' is disgusting. The scene is flooded with un-inspired musicians stagnating in music indistinguishable from one band to another. Local promoters, more concerned with a quick turn around, approach the music with a complete lack of patience, professionalism, or vision. The net result is zero; bands never leave the frail local circuit and end up playing the same local bars over and over until they burn out.
We understand the music as the art that it is. There is more to the underground than fake brutality and false ideologies. Chthonian Media is seeking true artists in a sea of fools. Bands not only with a strong sound, but also the drive and vision to make something of themselves.
We are a group of artists with backgrounds in promotion, sound engineering, and production. We are seeking like-minded musicians to help inject the Chicago underground with the inspiration that it needs. If you share our vision, don't hesitate to contact us.
