About Me

BIOGRAPHY by Bruce Milne, Infidelity recordings "Sometimes a good band becomes an incredible band. The Specimens are proof of it. Their 2005 album, The Quick & The Deaf, suprised and amazed a lot of people. Every track is on the album a short, witty, glorious, rock classic. All killer, no filler. Formed in the back streets of St Kilda in 2002, the Specimens have built a sizeable following around Australia, Europe and Scandinavia with a minimum of fuss and gimmicks but a maximum of energy and volume. Theyve supported a whos who of great rocknroll bands (The Datsuns, MC5, Radio Birdman, Jet, Guitar Wolf, Modey Lemon, Deep Reduction, Dozer, Young Heart Attack, Magic Dirt, Rose Tattoo, The Hard-Ons, The Meanies, The D4, The Turbo Acs, Dollhouse, Brides of Destruction, Celibate Rifles and many more)As well as sharing stages with John Spencer Blues Explosion & Spiderbait at Melbourne's Big Day Out 2005, Livid and St Kilda festivals. Their debut LP, Fast & Loose, was album of the week in Beat and InPress Magazine, Melbourne. The Quick and the Deaf received worldwide a release and fruitful recognition from Europe.Since their 2006 Winter European tour the Specimens have just completed their 3rd LP entitled 'Jazz Brutus'. Stay tuned for future release and tour details. Keep checking out this site if you know whats good for you!" Check Out Fast and Loose Film Clip.. width="425" height="350" ..
