2007 Saturation Art & Music Festival

Thursday, May 10 â€“ Sunday, May 20

Every year Alaska and her crew of loyal volunteers organize the Saturation Art and Music Festival. This year will be the sixth installment of the festival, and we're going for 11 days: Thursday, May 10 through Sunday, May 20. In that time, we'll host hundreds of artists, bands, performers, dancers, poets, DJs, art & craft vendors, workshoppers, bike gangs, and other strangeness in several different venues in downtown Riverside, CA.

Most of the bands, performers, and artists who participate are local-- so far between Portland and San Diego, so local-ish-- and all are independent or on local labels. Saturation is a huge, huge undertaking every year, and it's our labor of love for this community.

We choose to keep most of the events free and all ages so that the kids who couldn't normally afford to go to a whole bunch of shows out of town can see the possibilities in their own backyardâ€”community, collaboration, and the DIY spirit that nurtures good ideas and great art. We are helping to foster an inclusive cultural community in Riverside that works toward something bigger, greater, and more fun. In short, we're giving it all we've got.
