About Me

Tom has been playing or singing all his life. Blessed to come from a musical family, listening to his grandmother’s honky-tonk piano was always a treat. His dad was a life-long bass man and loved music as much as anyone. Brother Richard, an awesome blues guitarist, charted with "Captain Beefheart” back in the sixties. (If you've heard Beefheart's "Diddy Wah Diddy," that's Rich on lead guitar.)..nAt age 14 Tom co-founded the So Cal band, The Chariots. The name alone should give you a clue as to the musical era. They specialized in covers of The Beatles and The Ventures.
While having studied piano, trombone and guitar, he has found the most success and enjoyment, with the guitar. Tom has played throughout the San Francisco Bay area and as far away as Biloxi, Mississippi and Seoul, Korea.
The Beatles have been a constant musical influence but so were Peter Paul & Mary, Roger Miller, Donovan and Bob Dylan. Also, anything and everything from Tom Petty or Pink Foyd have rooted much of his musical psyche.
Even though rock and folk are engrained in his soul, he has also spent many years performing in dozens of musical and dramatic productions. Everything from “Jesus Christ Superstar” to “Annie.” He’s played Johnny Cantone in "1940's Radio Hour" and Elwood P. Dowd in the classic "Harvey." When cornered, Tom will even admit to playing a poppy in “The Wizard of Oz.”
Tom’s goal is to write unique music that promotes and supports self-inspection. The songs contained here are mostly home recordings that are part of his work on the "Under the Comet" CD. His goal is to have the CD completed by this Christmas.
"Need a cleaver stocking stuffer?"
