Since 2000, Malpractice has been staple in the Midwest punk underground. Acting as a soundtrack to the harsh streets of Detroit, Malpractices prides themselves as a hard hitting, straight to the point punk band. With two EP releases (Gunsmoke and Five Stories) and one LP (Stabwounds) As evident with these recordings, you can tell that Malpractice has drawn from influences like Social Distortion, Rancid, Bad Religion and even Hank Williams. Blend this with the energy that Malpractice gives off during a performance, and your garneted fantastic live show.
Malpractice is fronted by Greg Stewart, which commands an audience with his gravelly voice and unwavering energy. Joe Begley takes the position of Lead guitar and drives home the melodies of Malpractice. On bass, Nate Haase is ever-present powerhouse that blends his raw energy with moving bass lines. On drums, Jason Teasley uses his ability to not only push the relentless tempo that Malpractice fans have to know and love, but adds a musical inflections that carry throughout all Malpractice’s songs.
Throughout the years, Malpractice has been luck enough to play with Time Again (Hellcat), Love Equals Death (Fat Wreck Chords), The Unseen, River City Rebels, The Distillers, The Casualties, and the 2001 Van’s Warped Tour Local Stage(2001), Koffin Kats, Gutter Punks and countless others.
