About Me

After a year of playing with The Sals, I, Brad, finally decided to take a leave of absence from the band. It was February 2006. At this point I wasn't sure what the fuck I was going to do. I knew I had always wanted to start my own band. Sure, I had TONS of songs written. Well, guitar parts anyway. One problem, I couldn't sing for shit, and I certainly couldn't sing and play guitar at the sametime. The Sals kept urging me to do this so we could have 3 vocalists. However, I remained afraid of the mic.
I thought to myself, "Who the fuck could I get to make this an ass-kickin' lineup, something that I could push till there's no room left to push. Who would be the perfect partner in crime? Who would it be enjoyable to do with, and has the talent?". I came up with only one answer. My old friend Weddle. Now you see, Weddle and I had played around with our guitars for years. Even playing in a shit hardcore band that never did a dick. But that's beside the point. I recalled the early days when Weddle had bought a cheap-ass bass, and we messed around with songs. Hell, I said to myself, it's been 2 fuckin' years since we've even spoken. All due to our pety differences and a silly little falling out. So, I managed to get ahold of him through mutual friends. Next thing ya know, at 1:30 am in the morning, while I was unemployed, The Arrogant Bastards were formed. The first week or two consisted of us playing at all hours of the night, in the basement of my townhouse. Did the neighbors love that or what?
We finally came to the point where we said, "Enough is enough. Let's get a drummer." So, I started searching online. We managed to find one of the most talented drummers, in my eyes, in all of Michigan. He came over, and it was an instant success. So along with our new addition, Henry, we started rollin'. After a month of me being a cocksucker, we recorded 4 songs, which are now posted on here. Long story short, they suck. I rushed it. They suck. We won't get into specifics.
Now fast forward a few months. We had tried out 12 singers. Some of which weren't even all that bad. I was just to picky, and in this band, yes, I am like Hitler. I start to play the guitar and sing. Even now, after several months of doing so, I'm still practicing to perfect it.
Now, fast forward a few more months into October. Things aren't going so well with Henry. Again, I won't go into details. There's no need for the slandering of any past member(s). Not now or at anytime. Exit Henry, enter Scott. We've played a few shows. He's picked up quite well, and yet again we're going to try our luck with our NEW songs and head back into the studio. There's the short story of The Arrogant Bastards. How touching? Yes, indeed. We're currently working on songs, booking shows, and preparing for the full length. AS SOON as it is done, we shall post those songs, as the songs posted now are not a good representation of our sound. Not even remotely close to our sound these days. Look for us in the coming months to be everywhere and anywhere, because it's ours for the taking and believe me, we're planning on taking it.
