About Me

Welcome to our myspace, thanks for stopping by. We're really busy, but if you're digging our sounds then we're digging your ears too - send us a comment or a message and we'll do our best to reply. If you're wondering what's been keeping us, we're in our command bunker creating songs and sounds for our 'difficult' second album - it hasn't been difficult at all, we've got about 20 songs already, they're ace and like the proud mothers we are, we can't wait to show off our new offspring.Gigs will be sparse while we cut and splice it together, because we can't be in two places at once. If we could we would be OMNIPRESENT. We've nothing planned for the remainder of this year except a one off date playing THE AFTERSHOW at Sankeys. If you haven't heard about it yet, you will soon, it's going to be huge. If you can't make it because you live in a galaxy far far away, then it's best to keep those recepticals in your head primed, we'll be back zipping around the globe sooner than you think.
In the meantime, here are some nice things people have said about us.
"Tonight, My Architects are immense. They make sweeping soundscapes that are more than a little epic in scale. In fact, if they were on Grand Designs they’d be a converting a 12th century monastery in the Loire Valley into a new base for NASA... Glorious." highvoltage.org.uk
"Glorious tracks such as Opportunist recall The Beta Band's cosmic stoner sprawl, albeit with a hefty amount of grit and gumption. Needless to say, My Architects came to prominence through their commanding live performances. It's still early days, of course, but on this showing they're shaping up very nicely indeed." (metro)
"My Architects don't look hip. They don't need to. Their songs are dressed in enough melodic finery and Cocteau Twins guitar braiding to do the dazzling for them. When 'Airborne' plunges into another spellbinding chorus you wouldn't notice if they were dressed as pantomime horses, jumping through hoops of fire. This is a pure, soothing treat for the ears." (the fly magazine)
"My Architects make music that transcends its form. Their songs have the epic sweep of a piece of cinema and the complex emotion of a work of literature. All five members are credited as the authors of every track, and this collaborative, organic working process is audible and tangible. The purity of vision, the conviction permeating every note, is that of a single artist; the abundance of ideas and energy blooming forth could only come from a collective dynamic. Like an artistic movement or a theatrical ensemble, this band is a single organism, greater than the sum of its parts." controlyourself.co.uk
