THE ARCHITECTS

About Me

Mike (guitars/vocals) and Stu (bass/backing vocals) began toying with song ideas in 2006; they soon discovered that they had stumbled across something special. Drummer Adrien joined them shortly after bringing his unusual brand of stoned enthusiasm with him. Although Mike and Stu are the main songwriters, Adrien contributes effectively with his strong beats and vibes (Roots n Electro background). The band started to put together different ideas, combining their extensive background of musical experience. Infusing elements of Ska, Reggae, Punk, Rock and even Jazz, the aptly named Architects had designed their own sound. After recording demo tracks for a CD and Myspace, the lively 3-piece began performing their wonderfully distinctive songs live across the region (including shows at prestigious venues such as 'The Wedgewood Rooms' and 'The Joiners') and have received a great response wherever they have played. In addition to playing live, they have also been working on new material, an 'acoustic' set and a set of 'Cover versions' for future use. The Architects have a sound that is unique, exciting and adventurous. If that floats your boat, then you really need to check this band out. Here are 3 videos from the very 1st gig in the Alma Arms in Southsea :D !!
