My Interests

pre-1975 music electronics, fine dining, film, filmmaking and soundtracks, art, guitar, science, high voltage, wild weather, bicycling.

Music:

a lot of US and britpop, 60's to present. ulrich schnauss, chemical brothers, bowie, radiohead, enoch light, zep, flaming lips, j.mascis, my bloody valentine, muse, suede, many many others.

Movies:

i have a modest-sized dvd collection, about 400 titles. i'm not too much into slasher or horror, but any decent sci-fi, romance, melodrama, or comedy is fine with me.

Television:

sci-fi channel, conan, tv land, the full compliment of movie channels, discovery, PBS, and anything else that seems interesting.

Books:

i'm waiting for the next dan brown book. hurry up, dan!

Heroes:

my grampa otto! da vinci, edison, various physicists, especially those who spoke out against the bomb after working on it. hawking, michio kaku, sagan, jacob bronowski... bob moog, raymond scott, mike matthews.

spring feverb

i threw a party last saturday

and it went very well, although a lot of the musicians i invited had gigs that night and couldn't load out until amost 3 am. that's one disadvantage to the new late bar closing time here in minneapol...

lightning struck near my house in the middle of the night...

he was healed up by the next morning! weird... cats heal fast. i've checked a bunch more things off my to-do list, which is always a good thing. i wish the weather was going to be more spectacular....
