About Me

desperately random is what occurs when I set the ideas in my head into motion. My live performances tend to the ambient side, while these recordings tend to the imaginative side. You can peruse some of the records/movies/books that I idealize to the left but, if I've done this the way that I hope, maybe you wouldn't notice too much of any one in this music.
I've played electric guitar since my youth, and I started playing the Chapman Stick before I was able to legally drink. I don't know if this comes through in the music at all (I do use a fair amount of processing at times), but I love the way that an instrument sounds just by itself, nakedly. Conversely, I've also developed a great love for mangling and twisting sounds, hopefully into something new.
Some Philly venues I've performed at include The Rotunda , numerous performances on 91.7 WKDU (Drexel) , Doc Watson's , and many performances at the University City Arts League . I've also performed while living in California: The Santa Cruz Digital Arts Festival 2004, Sound/Shift Big Sur 2004, and Woodstockhausen 2003.
Of course, I welcome any 'Comments' but, if you post a large animated graphic that takes a long time to load, I may delete it to aid those with slower connection speeds.
The music below is some of my most recent work; incidentally, Wedding Music is a piece that I recorded for play during my wedding ceremony.

Spider

I wrote the intro riff somewhere in the beginning of this millenium, and I finally made it into a song in the Fall of 2007.  The middle chord part is a re-working of Aether, itself from around 20...
