About Me

Miami native chick hell-bent on the betterment of South Florida in all aspects.
I own and operate Sweat Records , Miami's finest indie culture shop and coffee house. Our huge new location is cute as hell, we have great music (and books and movies), wi-fi, and yummy organic beverages. We're next-door to Churchill's on NE 2nd Ave and 55th St.
Sweat's weekly mailing list also happens to be the best way to read about every cool concert and happening in South Florida, check it out and sign up right here .
Along with running Sweat, I've been a club promoter and DJ in South Florida for almost ten years!! Currently I promote, book bands for and DJ Friday nights at the gorgeous new downtown venue THE VAGABOND . Check it out if you haven't yet, it's tons o' fun...
Other random things I do:
+ I've been a vegetarian in the 305 since I was 12, so I built this website to help people find veggie-friendly places to eat all over South Florida: Meatless Miami
+ SWEAT BOOKS Book Club meets about every 6 weeks at the store and is open to all lovers of the printed word. Next book/meeting announced soon. Be there AND be square.
+ On special occasions A/V and I present Hip Hop Karaoke , based off the original in NYC. It returns in spring 2008 so check the link for the next one.
+ Every year I throw '80s Prom on Thanksgiving Eve, last year's was the 5th one!
+ Besides that I produce events and concerts, DJ, manage bands, and work on a variety of related projects and promotions. If you see me out, introduce yourself. I'm friendly...
