Described as “An extraordinary singer-songwriter with powerful vocals…†(iamedia), and a "Sidewalk Siren", (Seattle Guitar Circle) melodic and bluesy post-folk artist Niceol Blue describes her music simply as "Acoustica". Defying genres with nothing more than an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice, this accomplished rhythm guitarist and troubadour serenades crowds from curbside to club. In 2006 and 2007 she was voted a top ten finalist for the Northwest People’s Picks (Seattle Times). She has played on stage at both Folklife and Bumbershoot Festivals in Seattle, and has played far reaching venues from Portland Oregon and Seattle Washington, to Honolulu Hawaii and all over Ireland.
Born in Oregon and now living in in the West of Ireland and loving it, Niceol spends her time between gigs working on new songs, and recordings. She has played alongside such local and international well-knowns as Artis the Spoonman and Seattle Jim Page.
Niceol has released two CDs - one full album, "Soliloquy" (sadly, no longer in print), and a self-produced EP "The Green Soup Sessions" which she sells online as well as at performances.
