The Song Room is a live music night presented by songwriters Hamlet Sweeney & Brian Brody. It is high quality showcase for music lovers to experience exciting new music and for invited bands & artists to showcase their material in a great setting. The Song Room first began on Monday evenings in O'Sullivans bar where we had some really great nights. But now things are on the move. Presently The Song Room is on holiday somewhere on a south East Asian island and will kick off again with a relaunch on July 9th in The Globe, Georges st.There are many singer/songwriter nights in Dublin but The Song Room is not trying to be one of them. It is a different kind of beast. We've had everything from sing-alongs-where even the bar staff are joining in, to points were you could hear a pin drop. It's also proved to be a very diverse night with very different styles of music sitting side by side from funk to rock to folk to whatever you're having yourself. And all of it original and new. In our new home, and with better equipment this is something we will be actively encouraging more of. The caliber of artists has also been really great with some amazing bands and performers having fun alongside younger artists carving their way with their diamonds in the rough. Now we are moving into a better venue with better equipment we're excited about it all even more. We welcome music lovers of all types to swing by. And remember, it's always free in.
