Sekret Sekret

79'-84' *Psychadelic Underground Superstars*

About Me

Welcome,Sekret Sekret were a post-punk psychadelic band 1979-1984.Lead by frontman and songwriter David Virgin , the band became one of the most successful prolific and influencial groups in the australian underground music scene , 3 of the band members went on to mainstream chart success in the pop funk outfit "The Cruel Sea" with Tex Perkins taking over on vocals, David went solo and records and performs to this day. At present I can tell you that there is a Sekret Sekret retrospective double cd and history being put together by Tim Pittman of Feel Presents and the band members to be released soon. please check back regularly. For now enjoy the space become a friend have a look at the pics and leave a comment. To find out more about David Virgin go to davidvirgin.com or visit his myspace . : : Note: The profile songs are "New King Jack" an Indie hit From 1980 and "practice" recorded in a rehersal in 1982, it had just been written and is nice and rough. "Chimes", the B-Side to "Girl With A White Stick" recorded in 1983, and finally "Give It Up" from 1984 released as a David Virgin solo single and later incorperated into the Sekret Sekret set. This very popular record sold out within the first week and went to No. 1 in the Australian independant charts. "Chimes" and "Give It Up" are available on Feel Presents' "Tales From The Australian Underground vol. 2", a must have double cd for the keen fan of underground music.Go to davidvirgin.com for lots of free music.
