Pour yourself a drink and and give me a Bminor.

About Me

I make my music in a room that is filled with a single flower from every person I have ever met. Sometimes I lose the key and I stare in the window for hours.

Band Members: This is my myspace. Welcome. Don't be worried about putting your feet on the sofa, that's how we roll around here. Have an listen to the music in the player, bob your head, tap your foot and hum. The world would be a slightly better place if we all hummed a little more. Influences: I am most influenced by the people I meet but in reality there is nothing that I do, see, feel touch or hear that doesn't influence me. But that's kind of a cop out, isn't it? The way I look at it all types of music have their place and if that's where you are that's what you want to hear. From legato classical to banging techno to beautiful songs. It's all good lads, it's all good. If you can recommend me any music to me please do!! I'll buy you a cup of tea in return. One of my biggest ever influences is the music of Daniel Lanois, he really touches me. Neil Finn of Crowded House is one of my favourite songwriters with whom I am proud to share this round earth. Bill Whithers makes me dance the moment I step out of bed. I also love the songwriting of Paul D. Heaton, hooks galore baby, hooks galore. One of my favourite albums ever, ever, ever is Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue, it's a special experience. Other music in no particular order: David Bowie, Marvyn Gaye, U2, Low, James (album Laid), David Byrne, Nightmare Before Xmas soundtrack, Manic Street Preachers, The Beach Boys, CSNY, Midlake, Daft Punk and for Sebastian Tellier for making my Jaw hit the ground and a whole lot more that I can't think of right now. I really love Manu Chao too. And sure while we're at it I love a bit of snooker too, go on the Ronnie! The way I look at it all types of music have their place and if that's where you are that's what you want to hear. From legato classical to banging techno to beautiful songs. It's all good lads, it's all good.
Sounds Like: Sounds like a bag of feathers in a snare drum still stuck onto a chicken. But it's a very musical chicken.
Record Label: The door is open for the right one.

Writing lyrics while asleep. Recurring dreams. Fish for lunch.

I woke up before the alarm clock this morning. Nothing strange about that. What was a little different was that I woke up in the middle of writing a new song lyric in my mind. I don't mean just a snip...

A day in the studio - Buy This Song - Creme Brulee

It's 10.30pm and I'm pretty wrecked. I've spent the day recording. Although my brother coming to cut the grass with a lawnmower caused a brief diversion. It wouldn't work properly. He thinks it might ...

The lyrics that couldn’t be lost

I wrote some lyrics today that I’m really happy with. They came from a one line idea I wrote in my notebook a few days ago. Lots of interesting and colourful imagery. A real pleasure to write. T...
