Andrea Ramolo

Debut album coming out October 2008!!!

About Me

The earliest vocal recordings of singer/songwriter Andrea Ramolo date back to 1982 at a Gemini and Friends Daycare session. She has come a long way since then. Aside from being a solo recording artist and performer, she has lent her voice to a handful of musical acts. She has been the lead female vocalist for Toronto's rock & roll cover band "Stifler's Mom", featuring musicians who have played with the likes of Hawksley Workman, Serena Ryder, Thornley, Big Sugar, Amanda Marshall, and more.Andrea has collaborated and shared the stage numerous times with French-Canadian singer/songwriter Cindy Doire (this past summer at the Mariposa Folk Festival); she has recorded some lovely interpretations of a handful of songs written by folk singer/songwriter John Riven; she has also recorded vocals for "The Strip" on their 2008 album, "Martha and the Muffins," and demo recordings for Canadian rock & roll band "The Trews" and indie rock band "Oh No Forest Fires." Her music has been featured at Toronto's Tarragon Theatre as part of a self-created production and at the Toronto Fringe Festival. In 2004, Andrea was cast in Disney's made-for-tv movie "Once Upon a Mattress" starring Carol Burnett and Tracy Ullman. She not only acted and danced in the film but recorded two songs for the film's sountrack at the CBC in Vancouver, along with the other chorus members.Andrea's debut album entitled "Thank You For The Ride" will be released in October 2008! Stay tuned!
