About Me

Acceptance
My heart is an open vessel
without guile.
There is only room for love.
I am accepting of others
and differing thoughts.
I assume the best of my fellow man,
so that I will know the best of myself.
Jason Ray FranceI am a Fine Artist, Poet, and Creative Writer. I received my education through Brigham Young University and Art School, and I served as a Missionary in South Africa. Some of my jobs have included working as an Assistant to the mentally and physically disabled, a Graphic Artist, a Life Coach, and an Activity Director. I am currently working as a high school Art/Graphic Art Teacher and pursuing my ambition of becoming a published Author.I am deep thinking, passionate, caring, and sensitive. I am a loving Husband and Father, and I cherish my family. I value my relationships highly and am a loyal friend. Some of my life's challenges have been marrying young and quickly divorcing, losing our first child (in my present marriage) to miscarriage, and my Mother to Cancer when she was 46. I believe in living my dream and making a difference in the world. My Interests

God's Whisper

Listen to your own heart,
instead of pointing your finger at another.
Listen close enough to hear the pain of others,
rather than focusing on your own suffering.
If you listen, you'll be more likely to trust-
to be comfortable in your own skin.
Listen with your spiritual ears,
and the healing will begin.
It is only by listening
that you'll care enough to reach out to another.
Listen...really listen...
you just might hear God's Whisper.

Jason Ray FranceSome of my passions are truth in any form, my family, my friends, human connection, art, writing, poetry, creating, dramas, music, self improvement books, inspirational quotes, meditation, Yoga, South Africa, mountains, lakes, streams, the beauty of nature, antique stores-relics of the past.

Carter is a great and talented guy-give him a listen.

I'd like to meet:

It is in the shelter of each other that the people live.-Irish Proverb. People that know that we are here to love-that realize we are not earthly beings having a spiritual experience but spiritual beings having an earthly experience, and trust that everything they put out there comes back to them.

Music:

Music often brings me solace when I feel the most hopeless and alone. Some that brings me the most comfort, and touches me somewhere deep inside, is that of John Denver, Roy Orbison, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Carly Simon, Salena, Clay Walker, Hanna-McCuen, Chris Isaac, Sugar Ray, and Michael Buble. Music is home when I'm not sure what that means.

Movies:

I'm interested in movies about people, their lives, and their relationships-Movies that teach us life lessons. Some of these are The Notebook, A Man Without a Face, Scent of a Woman, Shawshank Redemption, The Passion of The Christ, An Officer and A Gentleman, The Champ, Somewhere in Time, The Way We Were, Out of Africa, When Harry Met Sally, The Lake House, The Breakfast Club-I also like Joy Ride (just for fun).

Television:

Again, it's all about the bonds and struggles of life, for me-Thirty Something, Homicide-Life on The Street, Party of Five, Friends, Will and Grace, N.C.I.S., The Shield, Over There, The Unit, Brothers and Sisters, What About Brian.

Books:

I thrive on books that are about making the most of every moment and following your own drummer-Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and One by Richard Bach, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, The Soloist by Mark Salzman, Kokoro by Soseki Natsume, Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, Still Me by Christopher Reeve, Awaken The Giant Within by Anthony Robbins, Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen, The Way of The Wizard, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, and Creating Affluence by Deepak Chopra, God Calling by A.J. Russell, Leadership and Self Deception by The Arbinger Institute, and The E Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber. I also was touched in my youth by the books Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank and Hiroshima by John Hersey-they speak of the frailty of the human condition and stand as testaments of mankind's past mistakes. It's so important that we learn from our history.

Heroes:

The Compassionate Soul
God has given you freedom-
to choose the course of your own life.
Natural consequences will follow-
good for good, evil for evil.
Do not attempt to rule over another-
to carry their burdens,
or measure out their lessons.
Rather, invest in the lives of others,
and love will be your return.
Empathy is sweet,
because our Savior took away the pain.
Compassion only hurts when it isn't true.
Forgiveness, understanding, and patience
are yours to give.
These cushion the breaking heart
and make it whole again.
Control poisons pure intent!
Jason Ray FranceMy heroes are people that aspire to be their highest selves, inspiring others to do the same-people that use their lives to make a difference. Some are my Savior-Jesus Christ, my beautiful, sweet Bride, Victoria, my precious, unique children, my Brother in Christ, Chad Palmer, President-Abraham Lincoln, Fred Rogers-he taught me that it was okay for a man to be sensitive, President-George Bush (Senior), Gandhi, The Dalia Lama, Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, Television Host-Oprah Winfrey, Lance Armstrong, Christopher Reeve, Reporter, Anderson Cooper, Poet, Maya Angelou. I'm also in awe of the soldiers that are serving our country, the public servants that gave their lives on 9-11, and the passengers of flight 93.
